WAFA Project
The Wafa Project for Empowering Poor Families in the Suburbs of Jerusalem was implemented in partnership with the Wafa International Foundation for Development and Capacity Building. The project, valued at $150,000, aimed at empowering economically vulnerable families, with a focus on female-headed households, by establishing or developing income-generating projects. The families received grants of $3,000 each, based on a comprehensive economic empowerment approach. This approach began with assessing the families' resources and needs, followed by designing appropriate interventions, and ended with funding to meet these needs. Women made up 74% of the beneficiaries.
