Somoud Project
Sumoud Project is a development project par excellence, famous for the weak and fragile family, in addition to young entrepreneurs, women and farmers, as the project is implemented in the Salfit Governorate, the villages and towns designated for it, as the Sumoud Project aims to make it relatively popular without poverty, even from the elderly among the youth in the Salfit Governorate, through the comprehensive and participatory economic empowerment approach between the Palestinian National Empowerment Foundation and the Takaful Charitable Fund in the Salfit Governorate, where the determination of knowledge depends on women only and the situation in particular. But comprehensive and healthy for them on the one hand, analyzing and studying the ideas of the proposed projects and studying their economic feasibility on the other hand, for the purpose of designing effective, profitable projects that fill, especially in the Salfit Governorate.
The project activities started at the beginning of 2022, although it started its activity in 2021, but due to the Corona virus, it started with participatory activities from the Tekfol Social Fund and the Ministry of Development in 2022, and then the project started at the end of October 2024. The Sumoud project aims to serve 53 beneficiaries from Salfit Governorate, so that their projects are established/developed through the path of the good loan, as the good loan is known, as it is known as $ 9,000 and for everyone what collects $ 20,000. - The Sumoud project is estimated at $ 588,974.5, as the Palestinian National Empowerment Foundation contributes $ 438,974.5, including operational implementation and 75% to $ 300,000 without operating expenses, for a short period, the Charitable Solidarity Fund for Salfit Governorate, including $ 150,000 and 25% of the project cost. 53 beneficiaries benefit from the funding. Work was done with 20 beneficiaries in the first phase with a budget of $153,630, and work has been done to date with 5 beneficiaries in the second phase with a budget of $38,100, and work is underway with 5 other beneficiaries, while the work was cancelled in the subsequent period.
