Nuhoud (2) Project
The Nuhoud (2) Project aimed to contribute to enhancing and supporting poor families in Gaza, alleviating their burdens, and preparing them for integration into the labor market through economic empowerment strategies. The goal was to move families from a state of dependency to one of productivity and self-reliance.
The project included 50 diverse economic empowerment ideas for poor families, which were later categorized based on targeting criteria. It was implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Social Development in Gaza to reach the most vulnerable families in need of support, creating sources of income and job opportunities. The estimated cost of the project was $350,000.
The project culminated in the opening of various businesses, including fishing boats, beauty salons, barbershops, grocery stores, poultry and freezer shops, a range of workshops, and shops for household and electrical appliances.
